Chris is a flood risk engineer specialising in sustainable drainage, Lead Local Flood Authority planning application reviews and hydraulic modelling.
Chris developed his skills in the private sector having joined WSP following graduation and working up through the graduate training scheme and beyond. Within WSP, Chris has worked on a number of multi-disciplinary schemes, developing the early surface water management strategies and, working in collaboration with the master planner and landscape architect, embedding these within the design plans for forthcoming developments.
He now works within Warwickshire County Council's Flood Risk Management team, leading on approval of HS2 works under Schedule 33 Part 5 (of the HS2 Phase 1 Act). Alongside this, he is utilising his prior LLFA experience in reviewing planning applications and providing statutory responses to LPAs and also developing the teams' skills in flood risk management and planning matters.
